Personalization Is Critical To Email Marketing Success.
Email Marketing is a powerful tool for building lists and converting those lists in to cash. Collecting information is where most marketers seem to focus their efforts. But once the information is captured, the trick is to get those subscribers to open and read your email and then actually take action.
Note the first element: Opening the email marketing message.
If the message doesn’t get opened, it won’t get read. And your email marketing stops right there.
Personalize your subject lines by adding your subscriber’s names. This is accomplished by using a name “token” like you would use for a mail merge in any popular word processing software.
NOTE: If your campaign is set to capture the full name, be sure to use the **NAME** token. If your campaign is set to capture first and last names separately, be sure to use the **FIRSTNAME** token for the first name and the **LASTNAME** token for the last name.
We also recommend adding their name in appropriate places throughout your message body.
Adding this personal touch to your subject and copy lines will help engage your readers by making the message feel more personal.
