MLM Lead Generation Can Be Challenging
When it comes to building any network marketing business, one struggle we all have in common is finding people to talk to. If you’re like most of us in the industry, you’ve burned through the friends and family list. You may even have friends who won’t talk to you and family members who wish they weren’t related to you, now. It happens.
Wouldn’t it be easier if the people you talked to were actually interested in what you were offering? How many times have you purchased list of “hot prospects” and then, if you started calling the list, what you really found felt more like somebody just sold you pages from a phone book?
If you are the kind of person who can effectively do the “dialing for dollars” approach, stick with it! My philosophy is, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. And that method works for the folks who are good at it. (I’m not one of them).
But my own preference is to use systems that help me generate mlm leads online.
Imagine a system that would help you talk to only those folks who actually WANT to learn more about what you have to offer. This is happening all over the world, right now, because there are people all over the world looking for information, products, and services … including network marketing information. The key is to get your information in front of these people, get their contact information, and then follow up with them.
Sounds simple, right? That’s because it really is. There are really two critical pieces you want to focus on:
- Your ad
- Your autoresponder
Your ad is how you find people interested in learning about what you have to offer. Your ad should be focused on, and displayed on, sites relevant to your offer. For example, if your company offers a weightless product, it would make sense to advertise on sites focused on health, nutrition, weightloss, fitness, etc… If your company offers a travel service, it would make sense to run your ad where people are interested in travel. And, we are all looking for folks who want to make more money, so it makes sense to run your ads on sites and forums where that sort of information is being presented.
But what should people see when they click your ads?
This is where I see a lot of errors. Too many ads take visitors right to a sign up page or order page. This is a huge mistake in most cases. Sure, you might find the occassional visitor just looking to place an order, but most of the time, they are just looking for information. And this is where your AutoResponder comes in.
When someone clicks your ad, the best place to send them is to your capture page or to a page on your site or blog that has a capture form.
When the visitor fills out that form, they are added to your AutoResponder campaign and your AutoResponder begins working for you by sending out your letters.
What happens from this point is that your AutoResponder begins following up with your prospects and one of three things will happen:
- Some of these folks, after receiving your information, are going to decide your offer is not for them. They can unsubscribe at any time by clicking a link at the bottom of your email marketing message. Your AutoResponder is going to automatically remove them when they click that link. No worrying about personal rejection. Your AutoResponder handled it for you.
- Some of these folks are going to put off reading your information. They are going to be busy, distracted, or just too scattered to pay much attention. It happens to us all. Maybe they are just doing research and plan to really review your information in the future. Your AutoResponder is going to keep following up with them. I have had folks who decided to start doing business with me after receiving my follow up messages for weeks, month, and years before making the decision. Your AutoResponder won’t ever “forget” to follow up, won’t call in sick, and won’t give you an attitude.
- Some of these folks are going to read your letters and want to know more. Maybe your letters give them links to read more information, or watch a presentation video, or attend a webinar. When they decide they want to talk with you, if you have written your letters and presented your information well, these folks are really just reaching out to get a few questions answered before they get started.
This is what I mean when I talk about being able to talk to people who actually want to know more about your product, service, or opportunity. MLM Lead Generation can really be as simple as advertising your offer, making it possible for your web site visitors to request more information, and having your AutoResponder send your information and keep following up with them until they make a decision.
