Want to be a successful affiliate? Do what successful affiliates do! Let’s take a look at the basic habits successful affiliates practice on a regular basis.

There really isn’t a mystery to affiliate marketing success. Every time I look at successful affiliates, I am able to identify a few key components that separate them from those who have not yet experienced success.

Here is a big component I can see with every successful affiliate I have ever seen:

Successful Affiliates Sell. While this seems obvious, I am constantly amazed at the number of times I see someone complaining about their lack of income when they simply aren’t selling. Whether they are one of our Affiliates, or working with a company like JVZoo, the key to success in Affiliate Marketing is that you will actually need to provide a service or product that someone is willing to pay for. Then, you actually need to sell the product or service to realize income.

Right here at TrafficWave, our most successful affiliates are constantly involved with processes that result in generating leads, following up with those leads, and closing sales.

Most of them are promoting a business outside of TrafficWave. They are simply using their TrafficWave tools to build their lists, follow up with prospects, and drive sales.

Some are promoting TrafficWave as their primary business. In these cases, they are simply using their TrafficWave tools to build their lists, follow up with prospects, and drive sales via their TrafficWave Affiliate URL. They identify other entrepreneurs, businesses, affiliate marketers, network marketers, entertainers, etc… and show them how to build their businesses with email marketing autoresponders.

I have yet to see an example of someone that consistently does these same things that didn’t experience success with our system.

So, what about those who have not yet experienced success? What’s the thing that holds them back?

All too often, I see people who register for any given system/program/opportunity, and the last action they actually take is to click the “join” button. Then, they wait for spillover, or the “magic income bunny” to make them successful.

When you review success stories about affiliate marketers making strong incomes, one of the things you will never hear them say is, “My sponsor built me an amazing downline.”. While spillover can and does happen, the key to actually creating significant income is to be the one that CREATES the spillover by actively building your list and bringing in new referrals.

When you review some of our own Top Affiliate Earner Reports, you will see a list of people actively learning, using, and promoting our system to other marketers. Each person on that list has actually CREATED spillover at varying levels throughout their team.

A success story might include, “Working with my team, we teach others how to build successful businesses. We work together and, as a result, everyone is able to win.”.

Imagine a TrafficWave “team build” that works like this:

Instead of bringing in a bunch of people that are waiting for you to give them spillover, you build a team of business minded people that understand the power of leverage and actual team work. Each member grasps the idea that the best way to reach the pinnacle of success with TrafficWave is to personally refer 10 business people that want to use email marketing tools.

By referring 10, you reach Tsunami level. When you do this, you have automatically created spillover for at least your first 3 referrals. This is also very easy. You have a capture page. You are driving traffic to it so your list continues to grow. You share your success story. You share the success stories of your team members. Others will want to work with you. Then …

Teach Your Referrals To Do What You Are Doing. When your team members begin to follow your example, your TrafficWave business begins to build momentum. You have others in your team following your lead by reaching the Tsunami level and teaching their referrals to do the same.

If you get 100 people waiting for you to create spillover for them, you will find yourself constantly working to replace those people that quit. And, people who are waiting on you to make them successful will quit fast.

If you get 10 people ready to work with you like you are working, you will find yourself building a massive team that takes on a life of its own and begins to reward you with growing commissions.

The basic idea is true for any network marketing business model you are working with.

Be busy personally doing the things that you know lead to success.
Don’t wonder where your spillover is. CREATE it by your activity.
Identify and work with those who have a similar vision and work ethic.

You will begin to experience a true TEAM experience.

Communicate with your team.
Show them what you are doing.
Show them how to do it, too.

It is so much more fun and profitable to work WITH a team as opposed to being the one working “for” folks who are just waiting on you.

“Joining the right team” won’t make you rich. Doing the right work and teaching your team to do the right work can make you incredibly wealthy.
