Worst TrafficWave Sponsor
Do you have the worst TrafficWave sponsor? I’ve heard from a few folks that tell me they do. Sometimes, their complaints are legitimate. Their sponsor never contacts them. Their sponsor never attends any training or provides any training. Sometimes, it’s just a misunderstanding.
So, I wanted to spend just a bit of time trying to help you decide if you really have the worst TrafficWave sponsor or might be missing a step or two. And, if you actually do have the worst TrafficWave sponsor, I want to show you how to build your business anyway.
The first thing I want to point out to you is that your TrafficWave Affiliate Business is your business. Your results and your income will be created by you. If you do have a sponsor or some upline that helps drive sales in your team, that really is a great bonus. But if you truly want online success, you are going to have to stop waiting on someone else to do the work for you.
I see a little bit of everything from this side of the screen. I see folks actively building their business. I see folks waiting for someone else to build their business for them. I see a little bit of everything in between.
I recently reached out to some of our Top Affiliates to ask them when was the last time they had heard from their sponsor. Without exception, the response was, “I never hear from them.”.
Think about that.
Didi Wargo has been our Top Affiliate Earner about 99% of the time and she never hears from her sponsor.
Ben Olszewski has been tearing it up over the past year and is consistently showing up in the Top 5 spots and he never hears from his sponsor.
Chase Swift has been with us for 10 years and consistently shows up in our Top Affiliate Reports. Amount of contact from his sponsor: 0
Now … am I telling you that these are all examples of the “worst trafficwave sponsor”? No, I am not.
In a perfect world, Ben, Didi, Chase, and all of our Affiliates would be in constant communication with their own sponsor and upline. They would be partnering up, sharing tips, teaming up on webinars, working together on promoting and celebrating within their teams. If I was their sponsor, I would be reaching out to them all the time to offer any assistance I could and to learn from them.
These Top Affiliates are all quite active. Ben has his own Facebook Group and is actively providing training, celebrating team successes, and leading by example. Chase has his own Facebook Group and is actively providing training, celebrating team successes, and leading by example. Didi builds and manages her lists, constantly provides tips and training to her team, and has maintained her grasp on that #1 spot for a LONG time.
Something else these affiliates all have in common: Some of their own team members appear in the Top Affiliate Reports, too. That is duplication in action. It’s a beautiful thing to see.
NONE of these Affiliates has received any spillover from their upline. They are all so focused on building their business that they are CREATING spillover through their business activities.
So, how can you tell if you actually have the worst TrafficWave sponsor, ever? You really can’t. There could be any number of things going on in their lives.
Maybe your sponsor is going through some personal challenges. Maybe your sponsor is just new and doesn’t really know how to help yet.
I’ve been through losing my wife to cancer, being admitted to the hospital with a stroke, and a number of other life events that took my focus for a while. One thing I wasn’t while all of this was going on: Responsive.
Sometimes, a little patience is called for on all sides.
But there is another side to the story.
I hear from a number of active Affiliates who tell me, “Brian, I am emailing my team. I am offering to help. Nobody replies.” I know how that goes, too. These are good sponsors. They want to help. They offer help. But their referrals don’t reply and don’t ask questions.
I am constantly sending out emails to every single customer and affiliate. I send out training. I send out updates. I send out offers to help. I invite every affiliate to webinars I conduct on a weekly basis. I invite every Top Affiliate to partner with me on webinars specifically for their team.
So far, one Affiliate has taken me up on the offer to do webinars. (Yes… 1) And … every single time we do a webinar together, he brings on new referrals. Makes me wonder why everybody isn’t using them.
Along the way, I hear from disgruntled members who say, “I can’t get any help.” or “Nobody will show me how to do this” or “There is no training available” and variations on that same theme.
I remind them that I have personally offered to help. I personally conduct weekly live webinars. I personally create articles and tutorials designed to help our users learn more. Our team has created a great video training series. Our team has created a very thorough training wiki. Our team constantly replies to support emails. I personally engage on various social media groups with our users.
And, yet …. people still complain that no help is available.
So, what is my point? You may not actually have the worst TrafficWave sponsor. They may actually be trying to help. The key is to reach out, respond, and interact with your sponsor when they do offer.
If you are one of those sponsors who is constantly reaching out to help and feeling frustrated over the lack of engagement, I feel your pain. I go through the same thing. We are experiencing that idea of “You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.” So we just keep looking for those who are ready to learn and run with us.
If, on the other hand, you are not offering to help your referrals, you have some room for improvement. If your goal is to build a big TrafficWave business, make sure you are treating it like a business. Get involved with your team. Help them learn. Help them grow.
This industry gives us an opportunity to really live by this great principle:
“You can have everything you want in life,
if you help enough other people get what they want.“
– Zig Ziglar
My advice for every one of us: BE the sponsor you wish you had. BE the sponsor that uses the tools, learns ways to use the tools better, and shares those tips with their team.
Our Top Affiliates are on that list because they are busy taking action and making things happen. There is a LOT of room on that list for you if you are ready to be the sponsor you are looking for in your own business.
