list building during covidWondering how to go about list building during COVID? This is actually the perfect time to dig in to list building.

Whether you are talking about your primary business or the “side hustle”, many people find themselves with a lot of available time on their hands. We sincerely hope all this comes to a good conclusion very quickly and we feel for those who are being impacted. Some of our own staff have been struggling with a number of issues as an ancillary impact from this COVID business. We believe we will all pull through if we work together and make good decisions.

So, let’s talk about list building during COVID.

Should you do it? Absolutely! Every business needs new sales. Sales come from generating leads. Businesses will be back. Those businesses who dig in and make good decisions during this time will be much more prepared for success when we turn the border.

How do you go about it? Follow the basic principles. Make sure your follow up letters are written and scheduled. Make sure your capture pages are compelling. Drive traffic to your capture pages. Build rapport with your readers. Add value.

If you’ve already done these things, now is a great time to review all the pieces and see if you can tighten up something. I recently made a few adjustments to the copy on one of my own capture pages and started getting bette results the same day!

This does not mean you should be shoving sales messages down your reader’s throats. This is the time to build rapport, add value, and establish your credibility. When the time comes for them to start making purchasing decisions, they will be more likely to buy from you because they feel they know like and trust you.

Take some time to do your list building. Your business will thank you for it and your bank account will grow as a result.
