Should I Move My Email List?

move my email listLately, we have begun receiving a number of requests from folks asking, “How do I move my email list?”. They want to move their email marketing lists to TrafficWave.net from another service. We recognize that moving your list is a big decision and we are honored that you are considering TrafficWave.net as your new home for your email marketing lists.

Why move your lists to TrafficWave.net from one of the other service providers?

Cost savings is always a big factor and we are very happy to be able to help businesses save a considerable amount of money when they move their email marketing lists over to our system. With our flat rate pricing, it is easy to see how you will save money when you switch to TrafficWave.net.

Deliverability is another big factor and TrafficWave.net enjoys a very high deliverability rate. TrafficWave.net adheres to a very strict policy of what is and is not accepted when it comes to building your email marketing list. Our high standard is a big reason our deliverability rating is so high around the world. No matter where your list is, if your messages can’t get delivered, your email marketing campaign is dead in the water.

If you are wanting to move an established list over from another company, and this list has been built reputably, we do not anticipate any issues with your move. We do need to be clear, however, that purchased or harvested lists are going to be a problem for you no matter which service you use and such lists will not be allowed in the TrafficWave.net system.

So, if you have a list (or lists) that you have been managing with other services and that list is a stable list of valid subscribers you are already regularly interacting with, we welcome your transition and we look forward to helping you transition your list over quickly and easily without the need for your existing subscribers to reconfirm.

Here are the steps to follow:

  • Set up your autoresponder campaign and automated follow-up letters.
  • Send a support ticket with your list attached as a single .csv file.
  • Be sure to let us know which campaign to import your list to.
  • Include details on how you have been managing the list, how you built the list, and how often you have been mailing your list.
  • We may need to log in to verify your existing account settings before the transfer is started.

Upon review, if everything checks out, your list will be imported in to the system and you will receive an email confirmation showing you the totals/results of the move.

Feel free to ask any other questions you have along the way.

We are seeing more and more people that are tired of simply spending more money just because they should be able to. That’s a horrible justification for charging someone more and we are excited to have them find a new home for their email marketing lists right here with us.

That is correct. IF you are moving an actual email marketing list (not a spam, harvested, or purchased list), your move will be seamless and will not require a new double optin.

Brian you mean I can move my list without any nonsense confirmation email sent to the address again right? Plus the delivery rate is killing me my mail keep reporting to spam box of my subscriber please why is that so

What this means is that if you want to move your valid email marketing lists from another service to ours, we can help you do that without the need for additional confirmation. As to why your emails are being sent to the spam box, your subject lines tend to lean very much toward spammy comment which is going to get your messages caught by most common spam filters. I highly recommend reviewing our many articles on deliverability. https://blog.trafficwave.net/?s=deliverability&submit=Search

If you are moving your list over from another service, that service will most likely have an option for you to export or save your list as a .csv or .xls file.

Is this offer only for people with existing lists on another provider? Or can I start fresh (with no list) as if I just want to have a new provider i.e. trafficwave

If you have no list, there wouldn’t be anything for you to move to TrafficWave.net. Being new just means you will be starting at the beginning and we would love to have you choose TrafficWave.net to get started building your lists.

Not sure what happened to my previous question posted here in the comments (I had posted “Hello?” because it didn’t get a reply); but my original question was about having a page like this that TrafficWave affiliates could use. Since many Internet Marketers already have an established list built in other autoresponders, telling them how they can easily convert those lists over to TrafficWave could really help.

        Thanks,
        Mark

No immediate plans to make a separate affiliate page for that component at this point. But you can definitely let your prospects know that if they want to move their lists, we can get that done for them.

We don’t have any plans to allow blind importing without confirmation. If you want to send unsolicited / unconfirmed messages, you will want to choose a different company. We will never be that company.

the reply of the support was useless, I mean they wrote me to read this blog ( I went here 3 times in a week).

If they don’t explain me the “problem” in details, their help is useless.

Note: I did every step exactly as described in this blog….

[[ send your single full list to our support team, via email, as a .csv file. Be sure to include your username, the name of the autoresponder campaign, and any special instructions. Also, be sure to tell us where the list is being moved from (Aweber, GetResponse, Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, etc), how the list was built, and how often you have been mailing……]]

            Hello.
I am a paid member on TW. I re-sent the list to trafficwave support but they don’t upload my subscribers.

I respected every single step that you request me to do.

They reply that I need to read this blog, but it is an useless assistance because they don’t explain what it’s wrong.

Result: I continue to waste day after day

            March 5, 2016

The reality is that they have sent you the instructions multiple times and you are continuing to skip steps. My advice is to complete all of the required steps.

Do you allow an import of a purchased list and send them a message to opt in for all of the details. I in no way want to get into spam trouble, however I would like to build a verified list. Please let me know how I could or if I could do that with trafficwave.

It certainly seems like you make the transition
    rather simple to accomplish Brian.

And for sure, lots of small business owners and or service providers,
are always looking for some proven ways to save money, when
    wherever they can.

And it’s great you offer some of your less tech customers, that much needed help.
