Let’s Take a Look at Why Email Marketers Choose TrafficWave
Recently, we’ve seen quite a few email marketers choose TrafficWave over some of our competitors. I was fortunate to be able to sit with some of our Top Producers recently and we talked about their experiences.
Each of these Top Producers was very candid with me as we talked about their experiences with TrafficWave and other companies. Some had returned to us quite a few years ago. Others had just recently returned.
Overwhelmingly, each told me some version of the story that included, “I was told that XXXXXXX had a better system and I should switch. So I did.” What followed was a number of well established affiliate marketers, business owners, publishers, etc… all telling me how they quickly understood the real value of TrafficWave and couldn’t wait to come back “home”.
So, let’s look at some of the top reasons email marketers choose TrafficWave.
The big topic that always comes up is that they were told “single opt-in is better than double opt-in“. And, if you just look at the face level part of that argument, it might make sense. But when you dig down a little deeper, the logic begins to fall apart. Let’s take a look at what I mean:
First, “double opt-in” means that subscribers have to click a confirmation link to actually be added to your autoresponder campaign. When they first fill out your capture form, they receive an email asking if it was them that sent in the request and asking them to confirm that request by clicking a link. The actual time involved is about 1.3 seconds. When they click that confirmation link, they are added to your autoresponder campaign and they begin receiving the follow up messages you have set up.
Single opt-in skips the confirmation and just adds subscribers right after the form is submitted.
The first assumption people make is that single opt-in means you get more subscribers because people “just can’t be bothered” to click a confirmation link. Mathematically, they are right that your overall subscriber count does go up faster. But here is where the real issue comes in: Artificially high subscriber counts cost your more when you use a service that charges more. And, when your list is filled with unverified, unconfirmed, and unengaged subscribers, your profitability goes down.
From just a basic knowledge of business best practices, increased costs combined with lower profits is a bad way to go. I’m willing to bet that if you take a few minutes to calculate your email marketing ROI, you might be surprised.
With TrafficWave, you know that your subscriber list is people that WANT to be on your list. And, you know that your monthly subscription rate isn’t going up just because you’re doing a good job building your list.
For most of our Top Producers on the call, this was reason enough for them to move back to TrafficWave. It just makes dollars and cents.
Another reason some of these successful email marketers choose TrafficWave as the level of access they have to our support team and to me, directly. The TrafficWave team and I are constantly monitoring and interacting in our social media channels. We love to hear back from our users and we love getting in to some of the great conversations.
As we continued talking, a couple of our panelists mentioned a need for better integration options. They love our autoresponder. They love our subscriber management options. They love weekly and monthly commissions when they refer others. But they wanted to integrate their TrafficWave campaigns with other well known capture page services. So, we took a few minutes and I showed them how easy it is to integrate their TrafficWave Autoresponder with some of the most popular blog services and capture page services.
At the end of the day, you do have a choice. And if it makes more sense from your perspective to pay more for a different service, you absolutely do have that option. A lot of folks are discovering that it just doesn’t make much business sense to pay more for a service that can be had for about 60 cents per day.
Having direct access to CEO, Brian Rooney every Monday evening was a pretty big plus, as well.
