Why I Believe In Online Lead Generation

believe in online lead generationA friend recently asked why I believe in online lead generation, so much. The conversation lead me to believe that it is time to write this article.

To give you a little background, I have been doing this online lead generation thing for over 20 years. My friend and I started this company in the year 2000 and there are countless reasons why we are still going strong, today. Among them: Online Lead Generation Just Works! Even with 20+ years of experience, I have people telling me Email Marketing Doesn’t Work)

The big reason why I believe in online lead generation is I recognize that lead generation is absolutely critical to business success. When your business is no longer generating leads, your business is simply fading away. Without leads, you don’t get sales. Without sales, you don’t stay in business. So, there can simply be no debate as to whether consistent lead generation is important to the success of your business. No matter what your business is, you absolutely MUST have a consistent flow of leads coming in.

This includes leads from traditional advertising, face to face prospecting, networking events, and … online lead generation.

We all know life gets busy. Over the years, I have had a number of … let’s call them “distractions”. Some distractions were fun and others were devastating. These distractions ranged from life just getting busy such as when we move, when the kids were all wrapped up in basketball games and recitals, vacations, sickness or even death of a family member or friend, world events, and the list goes on.

These things aren’t unique to me. They happen to us all. The part I want us to realize is that online lead generation makes it possible to keep moving your business forward under virtually any situation you may be facing.

So … I Believe In Online Lead Generation For a Number of Reasons.

First and foremost: It simply works! Just think logically for a moment. All over the world, people are going online looking for information, answers, solutions, entertainment, and more. If your business can help them with that, doesn’t it just make sense that you make sure they can find your offer. If they don’t find you, they will find a competitor.

No matter where you are located, no matter what you are doing, somebody out there is looking for what you offer. Your goal: Make sure they can find your offer.

The second reason I believe in online lead generation is that it never stops working. To get started, I had to set up a capture page on my web site. I created stand alone capture pages. I added capture form code to my blogs. And then, I started driving traffic to all of these. I run advertising. I promote on social media. I send out text messages to my contacts. And, when people find my web site, they can request more information by filling out the form. When they fill out the form, I have generated a new lead.

The best part is that this system stays online and works around the clock. When I was tending to an ill family member, my system kept working. When I was traveling, my system kept working. When I was asleep, my system kept working. When I was in the hospital with a stroke, my system kept working. When I am playing with a band, the system keeps working.

No matter what I do, as long as I keep my promotions running, the system keeps working and I continue generating new leads.

No matter what industry you are in …

No matter what type of business you have …

I highly recommend you start taking advantage of online lead generation to keep your business consistently moving forward.
