Incident Report for TrafficWave.net
Over the past few days, TrafficWave.net has undergone a sustained DDOS Attack. For those unfamiliar with the term, a DDoS attack is when an attacker floods a site with so much traffic it is unable to respond to legitimate requests. While we already had systems in place to deal with these types of attacks, the nature and severity of this attack was on a massive scale. It is important to know that absolutely no customer data or information was compromised.
On behalf of the entire TrafficWave.net team, I want to deeply apologize for the service interruptions that you’ve experienced over the last few days. We understand how much you rely on our service to help run and grow your business and the frustration this has likely caused.
During this attack, various services were slow and/or unresponsive. These services are back up to speed and appear to be functioning normally. Your lists, data, billing information, etc.. are all safe.
We are asking that everyone take a moment to log in to your account to look everything over and verify that your account is in good order.
As we are focused on resolving issues related to the DDOS attack, response times for all other support matters may be delayed a bit. We appreciate your patience as we continue working as quickly as possible to test systems and make sure we are able to continue serving you at the highest level available.
Thank you for your patience.
