The Profit Is In The List
We’ve all heard the phrase “the profits is in the list” but the real point is getting some of that profit in to your bank account. The trick to getting that profit in to your bank account is to use the right combination of time, skill, and yes … a little patience.
Look at it this way. I can tell you that there are fish in the lake. And, we would be hard pressed to find somebody to argue that point. And I think we can all agree that pretty much anyone can throw a line in the water. If you just do that enough times, you’re bound to catch a fish here and there, right?
But if you want to catch fish consistently, you will need to develop some skills, spend some time consistently applying what you’ve learned, and exercise a bit of patience.
The same is true with email marketing. We see folks that seem to be really good at it. They are consistently generating new leads and getting new sales. If you really dig in to what they are doing, you will identify two common things that keep showing up: Consistency and Rapport. These two things are how I am able to consistently make sales in minutes. What do I mean?
Consistency is simply the act of repeatedly doing the right activity that causes lead generation. This includes consistent promotion of your capture page through safe lists, advertising, social media, networking, traffic exchanges, etc…
Rapport is simply you building rapport with your subscribers by giving them consistent qualify content that focuses on solving their problem. Let your subscribers know you are there to help them and show them how you can help them. Bottom line is that people are interested in doing business with someone they feel they know, like, and trust. So keep your content on point. Keep your focus on providing a solution. Let your readers get to know you and the value you bring.
The profit is in the list. If you exercise consistency and build rapport, you will start to see some of that profit showing up in your bank account.
