Email Marketing Sales Process
Email marketing sales can be broken down in to a few easily identified steps.
The key is to identify and then accurately apply each of the email marketing sales steps in your business.
Let’s start with the first step:
Advertising is a great example of a way to invite people to learn more about your offer.
This might include traffic exchanges, social media, classified ads, local networking groups, etc…
With email marketing sales, your goal is to get prospects to a capture page so they can request more information. We do this by making sure the link in our ads takes interested prospects to a page where they can request more information by filling out our capture form.
Once they have filled out the form to ask for more information, you are now ready to present your information.
The email marketing sales process means you have created a series of automated letters that will explain your offer in more detail. This might include links to explainer videos, testimonial pages, a sales page, etc… The key is to use this opportunity to show your prospects what your offer can do for them.
Some of those prospects may make a decision to buy from you after the first contact. Most will not. It typically takes 7 contacts before someone makes a purchasing decision. This brings us to our next step in the email marketing sales process.
You may have heard the phrase, “The Fortune Is In The Follow Up”. Your autoresponder can automatically follow up with prospects helping you to build that “know, like, and trust” factor.
As your follow up messages go out to your prospects, they should be learning more about you and what you can do for them.
They asked for your information because they are interested. If they feel they know you, like you, and can trust you, the odds of them doing business with you go up in a big way.
Your final step in the email marketing sales process is to close the deal.
You’ve invited them to learn more. They’ve asked for more information.
You’re presented them with the information.
You’ve followed up with them to build that connection.
Now … ask them for the sale. Give them a solid call to action so they know exactly how to buy from you, join you, work with you, etc…
If you are just getting started with email marketing sales, be sure you get each of these steps in order. Create your follow up messages and sales letters. Create a solid capture page. Promote your capture page so that people can request more information.
As you go along, fine tune each of these steps. Sometimes, a letter needs to be adjusted. Sometimes, a capture page needs a new headline or layout.
By taking the time to learn, apply, and then master these steps, your email marketing sales can become a huge success!
