Email Marketing Success Tips
On a regular basis, I hear from two groups of people.
Group 1 is letting me know about their most recent email marketing success. This might include how they’ve added new subscribers, generated new sales, made money while they were on vacation, how they increased their open rate, etc…
Group 2 is typically lamenting their lack of results.
Let’s start by looking at what these two groups have in common:
They have access to all the same TrafficWave tools.
They have access to all the same TrafficWave training.
All this really shows us is that everyone has the same level of access to the same information.
So what really separates these 2 groups? What are their email marketing success tip?
The biggest thing I see from my view point is that Group 1, the folks getting results, are consistently conducting regular productive activities. This may or may not be a 100% daily thing. We all miss days here and there. But when you look at their timeline over a historical perspective, they all seem to have these things in common:
After Opening a New Account: They will dig in to the YouTube training channel to review the members area and get started setting up a new campaign. Just make sense, right? Open an email marketing account, get started setting up an email marketing campaign. Once they have a campaign started, the next step is to begin driving traffic to their capture pages.
Here are some things I see happening from our most effective email marketing success stories:
___ They are driving traffic to their offers. This can be in the form of paid advertising, free advertising, social media posts, participating in relevant discussion forums, etc… But they are ALWAYS focused on getting eyeballs on their offer.
___ The best I see are constantly involved in some form of learning. They might read personal development, listen to podcasts, review training content, and more. They are constantly learning, growing, and adapting.
___ They attend our Email Marketing Monday sessions and actively engage in the discussion.
___ They are evaluating their open rates and click through rates. They test different components to see what can be improved.
___ They visit, post a positive comment, or ask a question in the TrafficWave Facebook Group.
___ They actively engage in discussion here in the blog. They ask relevant questions. They provide relevant feedback to exiting questions.
The folks in Group 2 typically don’t even get started. If they set up a campaign, they might stall out or just try a couple things here and there. The toughest part about email marketing success is that it is incredibly simple. None of the steps required are all that complicated and they can actually be accomplished absolutely free. They just take a little time to learn and a little more time to master.
